A result-oriented person, she is always determined to achieve project goals and objectives. She is very much a team player, ensuring that the team meets its targetted goals. Her work experience in an R&D environment, Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM 1972-1982) and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB 1982-2005), has moulded her to be an ideas person, always open to adopt and adapt new technologies and new approach to getting work done. The Palm Information Centre at MPOB, a legacy she left upon retirement in 2005, has proven to become a benchmark for library and information development in Malaysia. The Centre, a project under the Sixth Malaysia Plan, incorporated the library and digital archives, Galeri Sawit, Palmshoppe, InfoCafe, and a host of other conference and meeting room facilities all under one roof. The Centre also proved that the in-house corporate information of any organization can become an asset to generate income for the parent organization, hence a pioneer in advocating information entrepreneurship in Malaysia.
