Preamble   

Knowledge and skills in research are essential in getting ahead in one’s life and career advancement in the present and the future.  Research provides us with opportunities to exercise and improve our analytical and critical thinking skills, which are very much needed in quality performance at the managerial level.  Research builds our self-confidence, strengthens our competence, and enhances our positive image in the eyes of our clients to whom we provide services. From another perspective, if your organization has some data and you would like to know how to transform that data into a problem-solving tool or even a tool to improve the services that you offer to your clients; this is the platform to explore that possibility. So, let us conduct research.

Aim of the Workshop

This two-day workshop aims to provide both basic principles and practices for participants to enable them to conduct action research that will benefit their organization and enhance their professional knowledge. At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to embark on a research project relevant to their workplace situation by employing appropriate research methodologies.

• All cancellations must be notified in writing five (5) working days before the event date, i.e. before 2 April 2013; otherwise the workshop fee will be billed to your organisation.
